More Trade (and not Protectionism) is the answer

In times of recession entering new markets and seizing new trading opportunities would be ways of boosting the UK economy.
UK Trade & Investment has identified key business zones and second tier cities in China for UK corporations to venture into. There are grants available for research as well as help in finding suitable local partners.
Discussing these questions at an Institute of Directors symposium held at London Development Agency's offices, chaired by Andrew Leung of the China Group, Merlene shared her experience of visiting the Mayor's LDA office in Beijing and suggested that more can be done to encourage inward investment into UK.
